That's really all we can say for now.

Guerrillas are Coming! Guerrillas are Coming!

Another year, another Guerrilla Truck Show and another weetu truck design.

Check out the show and, of course, come visit us on June 12th 5:30p - 9:30p @ 1000 Block of Fulton Market. And, now, you can easily take the Green or Pink lines with newly added Morgan Street stop. Rumor has it that the $38 million train stop was built just for this 8th Annual Guerrilla Truck Show. (it's just a rumor.)

If it that's not enough, this year's show promises to be bigger, better, badder than ever. With a juried show and 50 trucks representing local, independent designers and artists, the streets of Fulton will be closed off as GTS officially becomes a street fest.

But wait there's more...

weetu will be in a second gallery show in Fulton Market that very night. WHAT?!? MORE WEETU??!!? SAME NIGHT?? Yes, it's so very true, but shhhhh keep that under wraps as we'll be sharing more details of our 2nd show in the next few days.

guerrillas in the mist, take 2

Yep, it just wouldn't be a Guerrilla Truck show without everyone soaking in the rain. This year was an even bigger turnout than last year, despite the weather.

Our very own Tyler Mallory generously donated his mad photo skillz for DIFFA's truck. His photo exhibition was all about portraits of the people who make a difference at the many Chicago organizations working to provide services for those living with HIV and AIDS. Many of them are HIV positive themselves. For them, the path to finding their right place has taken many different routes. Through initial feelings of anger, resignation, confusion and fear, they have all found in themselves a way to stand taller than their diagnosis and continue living.

Each image starts as a blank square to let the personality dominate, to remember that the human spirit is unbowed and that even after a positive diagnosis, there is much to discover about life and personal strength.

This photo was taken by Jamie Kelter. Thanks Jamie!

VivalasWEETU, HD 2008

The dynamic duo from WEETU went west for the HD 2008 show in Vegas. Finally WEETU was actually ASKED for their critical judgment! The kind folks at HD invited Linda and Carly to comb the exhibition halls in search of the best exhibit booths. It was a grueling task, but WEETU was in good company with Jillian Van Dresser, (The Van Dresser Company) and Jeffrey Williams (BBG-BBGM). Following hours of review, the judges submitted their scores and WEETU retreated to the hot desert sun for an hour of people watching and pooling prior to jumping back into the HD festivities.

But that’s not all! WEETU also gave a seminar presentation on Saturday, May 17th. Special thanks to those hard-core early risers who came with sunglasses and coffee. WEETU felt your pain and appreciated the support.
